Hummingbird Vineyard - Ken and Sue Houston

Ken and Sue Houston’s Hummingbird Vineyard has four types of vines: Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, and Maréchal Foch.

The vineyard is entering its tenth year and both Ken and Sue can be seen working on their vines for much of the year.  Ken and Sue are Victoria natives, and with other members of the Starling Lane family, believe passionately that quality wines begin with healthy vines that are carefully nurtured throughout the year.

Hummingbird Vineyard has developed a local reputation for quality grapes, and has been at the forefront in the production of our unique Marechal Foch wines -- full-bodied, complex red wines reflecting the local terroir.
