MARÉCHAL FOCH

foch

A big red from a cool climate!  This grape was developed in France by crossing French and American varieties.  The wine has a dark ruby color with aromas of ripe strawberries, plums and a hint of spice.  Pair this wine as you would any rich red, with hearty dishes.

2006 - "Quails' Gate and Lang are the best producers (of this grape), but we can now add Starling Lane 2006 Maréchal Foch to the list." Jurgen Gothe, Georgia Straight, December 2007.

Bronze Medal, Canada Wine Awards, Wine Access Magazine, January 2008.

2005 -- Silver Medal, Northwest Wine Summit (Oregon).

“... the best Maréchal Foch that I have tasted over the last thirty years." Sinclair Philip, Sooke Harbour House.

“Wine like this explains why Foch has made a comeback.” 89 points. John Schreiner, AppellationAmerica.com

Maréchal Foch 2004 -- Silver Medal, Northwest Wine Summit (Oregon).
