PINOT NOIR

Pinot Noir is the traditional grape of Burgundy and is one of the toughest grapes to grow -- often referred to as the "heart-break grape" -- but the effort is well worth the investment.  Our Pinot Noir 2005 is our first vintage.  It is rich, delicate and velvet smooth, with flavours of red berries and a touch of spice. Perfect with Vancouver Island lamb.

Pinot Noir 2005 -- Gold medal 2007, Northwest Wine Summit.
"The wine is bold, with good intensity of fruit flavours, with a finish that hints of spice and even chocolate." John Schreiner, AppellationAmerica.com

This wine was produced from grapes grown on our small family vineyards, south Vancouver Island:

- Marcel and Bente Fleurie, Fleurie Vineyard, N. Cowichan
- Ken and Sue Houston, Hummingbird Vineyard, Saanich Peninsula
- John and Jacqueline Wrinch, Heritage Vineyard, Saanich Peninsula
